Hotels in Norway generally have a high standard, including the cheaper ones. With some planning ahead, it is possible to find hotel rooms or other accommodation for <1000 NOK or 100 euros per night.
We recommend staying near Lillestrøm city centre, or any of the following train stations in Oslo: Oslo Central Station (aka "Oslo S"), "Nationaltheateret stasjon", "Skøyen stasjon" or "Lysaker stasjon". From these there are trains to and from Lillestrøm station every 10 minutes all day.
The venue is just a few minutes walk from Lillestrøm train station.
NB! If you book something between Oslo and Lillestrøm there are a lot fewer options for public transport, since the fast trains go in tunnels between the cities.

Smart Hotel Oslo: https://smarthotel.no/en/oslo We have good experiences from previous stays here. Good price, and a decent hotel. 10 minutes walk through the Palace Park to Nationaltheateret Train Station, where there are trains to Lillestrøm every tenth minute.

Nice and quiet place to stay, 15-20 minutes on the bus to Lillestrøm or 40 minutes walk.
